Our client is looking for a Material Handler. The successful candidate will be responsible for the manufacturing and operating the machinery at the plant in Port Elizabeth.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct use of materials supplied to machine creating minimum amount of regrind, also label and return material to Production store with accurate weight on

  • label.

  • Control and document all movement of material from Production stores to production line. All movement of material has to be documented correctly.

  • Movement of pallets from the Production stores to the end of the production line when required.

  • Book all finished goods to the Production stores and ensure it is packed neatly by the Production team.

  • Visually check finished goods pack and ensure packed neatly. If not, notify the setter and/or shift manager.

  • Responsible for correct labelling of goods when put in the production stores. All pack labels have been applied by the production team.

  • Weigh the finished goods and ensure the weight is recorded on the log sheet at the end of the production line.

  • Assist in carrying out duties relative to roller changes, die splits etc and other duties as required to maintain continuity of production.

  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness of machines and designated surrounding areas and removal of waste etc to appropriate containers/locations.

  • Maintain Health and Safety requirements relating to personal equipment to be worn, and in operating all machinery, plant and equipment - including fork lift truck

  • driving and local maintenance.

  • Assist as directed in maintaining cleanliness of rest rooms and other associated amenities on an ongoing basis.

  • Responsible for the efficient and effective working of the plant and machinery associated with blending of raw materials and regrind etc to produce feedstock for

  • extruding to technical and/or customers product specifications.

  • Ensure all materials being used are of the specified quality and in fit and proper condition for immediate use.

  • Properly and correctly set the summit and ratios setting of each various grade of material for blending.

  • Constantly check material flow from feed containers and ensure that sufficient material is maintained within the containers to maintain the continuity of supply to

  • the summit.

  • Check and clean summit filters on an ongoing basis.

  • Check and empty dust extractors at each and every shift.

  • Check all materials for contamination - isolate and report all/any contaminated material to Shift Leader. 

  • Ensure unused materials are properly repacked in adequate containers with appropriate identifying grades, batches, quantity and quality etc.

  • Maintain cleanliness of mixer area and assist in maintaining good housekeeping policy of plant working area and other designated areas - remove waste to appropriate

  • containers.

Senior Pricing Analyst

Must have proven proficiency in SAP and excellent MS Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Duties:

  • Development, monitoring and maintenance of pricing models to drive profitability, brand positioning and ROI (e.g., ANSP, GP, Margin %)

  • Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies and ensure timely response to market requests / conditions.

  • Assisting with the financial aspects of pricing / business analysis & performance.

  • Assist pricing negotiations of customers’ proposals.

  • Participate in the AOP process and prepare relevant pricing data for the budgeting process.

  • Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements, and stimulate implementation or maintenance of pricing system.

  • Improve transparency and communication on key sizes/key customers in between all markets and local management by providing the right level of information to affect the prices in the system for execution of the organization’s targets.

  • Conduct periodic meetings with stakeholders (sales, marketing, supply chain) to follow up smooth running of activities and discuss their suggestions as well as adopt appropriate procedures and executive plans with relevance to these suggestions.

  • Recommend organizational training needs, build pricing, and value proposition capabilities.

At least 3 years experience in citrus industry working with area wide pest management programmes an advantage. Will be responsible for overseeing and managing the sales function and activities within the dedicated area with emphasis on establishing sustainable long-term relationships with distribution partners and key customers whilst developing market share through implementing the specific sales strategies within the area.

Additional duties entail budgeting, forecasting, reporting, managing technical sales reps in the area to deliver operational activities and agreed targets through sound sales force efficiency strategies. Developing sales strategies and business development opportunities through having a detailed documented understanding of the customer/distributor landscape. Designing programmes packages and discounts structures against budget ensuring market share is developed while target volumes and contributions are maintained as well as facilitate product/programme training sessions.
